Mambrui

Mambrui Village

Mambrui is a lesser known but intriguing quieter Arab village, a few miles north of Malindi,  where a relative of Prophet Mohamed Shariff Said is buried in a cemetery at Riadha Mosque. Muslims from many parts of the world flock to the town for prayers especially during the commemoration of his death.

There are many lovely beaches and eating places in the village and beach hotels dotting the coast line. Further north is Robinson Island. Take a trip along the mangrove and seek Hassan Bien and his lovely wife Mariam, for a fantastic seafood bonanza.
